CPA is looking for a marketing manager for our CPA Buy American Store.

Employer:  The Coalition for a Prosperous America (CPA) is a national nonprofit advocacy organization working to reduce the U.S. trade deficit and produce more food and goods domestically.  We represent the interests of 2.7 million households through our agriculture, manufacturing and labor organization and company members.  We started an online USA-made department store in October 2012.  The customer target market is our membership and the general public.  The vendor/supplier target market is companies making products in the USA.

Job Details:  CPA is looking for a motivated, self starter with appropriate qualifications to manage our CPA Buy American Store, an online department store for American made goods.  The primary responsibility will be to develop consistent and effective promotional campaigns in social media, CPA’s member communication and other channels to grow online store sales. This role will work both independently and with a team.  This position will grow in parallel with store sales growth.  This is a very unique opportunity for the right candidate, because the position will have the opportunity to take our store, our infrastructure, our strong national affinity group, and make a very successful online store focusing upon USA made products.  You can grow with us or build your resume.

Work location and schedule:  This is a part time position with the potential to grow full time.  Work will be performed remotely.  At least three hours per weekday are expected.

Compensation:  The position will be paid exclusively on a commission basis.  The commission percentage is very generous as CPA will forego most sales proceeds to generate volume as we build sales.

Basic qualifications:

  • Proven understanding of the social media community, social media tools, techniques and marketing.
  • Strong self-starter and work ethic with a strong bias for action.
  • Solid organizational skills with ability to multi-task and adapt to changes.
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication ability.
  • Proficiency in software social media platforms and familiarity with web technology, page structure, basic HTML, spreadsheets and databases.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team.
