Poll roundup, 7/9/08 PDF Print E-mail

Missouri:  McCain pulls ahead 47-42%.  The candidates were even one month ago.

New Jersey:  Obama ahead 44-39%.  His need narrowed from 9 points last month.

538 is a Dem leaning blog, but very, very statistics driven.  A blogger there says Obama's national lead should be discounted because: (1) the incumbent party tends to do better on Election Day than early month polls show; and (2) there is a tendency of polls to overstate the performance of Democrats.
