Rasmussen:
Mark Udall (D) increases his lead over Bob Schaffer (R) for the third
straight month. 49-40%. They are competing for Wayne
Allard's (R) open seat.
Udall is on the vanilla "labor and environmental" kick for trade. Fine as far as it goes.
As a Member of Congress I have not been silent on these issues. I
have supported numerous trade agreements that have benefited Colorado
without disadvantaging American workers, but I have opposed those, like
the Central American Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA), that have not
included provisions addressing the unfair advantage of countries with
lower environmental and labor standards.
Schaffer does not mention "trade" on his campaign website. He does use free trader code language:
[Colorado producers] constantly tell Bob they prefer to compete in
a free market that entails broader access to foreign consumers,... And the Club for Growth endorsed him, which almost certainly means he is a free trader.

RISKY BUSINESS
Bernie Madoff literally made off with billions of unsuspecting peoples cash by promising consistent annual returns that were too good to be true. His $50 billion Ponzi scheme bilked a wide range of rich folks, including a Hollywood mogul, a wealthy US senator and several sports team owners. For some of them, the losses will be significant but not crippling; for others, their entire financial future has gone down the drain. Several charities let the allure of high returns undo the generosity of donors and their ability to perform their mission.
