Donna Edwards (D) beat Peter James (R) in Maryland's Fourth District yesterday.  This was a special election.  She won by 22 points.

Albert Wynn was the Congressman from the district.  Edwards challenged him in the primary, and won.  Wynn then quit Congress and took a lobbying job, rather than filling out his term.

MD-04 is leans strongly Democratic, with Kerry beating Bush in '04 78-21%.  The primary campaign was really the general election campaign.
