* Another McCain staffer resigns, this time not because of the new internal campaign organization rule against lobbyists.
Senator John McCains chief advertising strategist, Mark McKinnon,
announced Tuesday that he was resigning, following through on a vow he
had made months ago not to work against the candidacy of Senator Barack
Obama.
* Clinton wins Kentucky big. Obama won Oregon big and, thus, the majority of the Dem convention delegates.
* Ron Paul took 15% of the Oregon vote on the Republican side. Huckabee and Paul combined for 15% of the Kentucky vote.
*
The Clinton-Obama voting patterns in the Dem primary are very close to
the Bush-Kerry voting patterns respectively. Except, of course,
for the fact that Obama has won. Interestingly, Clinton's
strongest support comes from throughout the Appalachian region from
Pennsylvania, through Virginia, Georgia, Alabama and northeast
Mississippi. Odd.
Counties where Clinton won at least 60% of the Democratic primary
vote. Kentucky is excluded because the map was created before
last night's primary.
