Yes, I know.  The Dem presidential campaign NAFTA debate is so 1994.  But I'll take it as a surrogate for trade issues at this stage.  Deficits created.  Currency manipulation ignored.  Domestic legislatures gleefully transferring their power to international tribunals closed to everyone.  Foreign corporations suing U.S. municipalities, states and the federal government.  Outsourcing to avoid U.S. taxes and labor costs, but still gaining the benefit of re-exporting to the U.S.

Clinton says she was against NAFTA.  But she has now released her daily schedule as first lady and... surprise... she actually worked for its passage.

The former first lady's records showed first lady Clinton worked on behalf of the accord.

Among the thousands of details of daily life for Clinton, there was a November 10, 1993, entry -- a "NAFTA Briefing drop-by," in Room 450 of the executive office building next door to the White House, closed to the news media.

Approximately 120 people were expected to attend the briefing, and Clinton was to be introduced by White House aide Alexis Herman for brief remarks concluding the program.

Now.  I am fine if she has "matured" in her views.  But be staight with it.  Tell us you supported it, you were wrong, and now you want a trade policy that balances our deficits, and produces a surplus.
