Thompson's withdrawal is effective today:

"Today I have withdrawn my candidacy for president of the United States," Thompson, a former Tennessee senator and Hollywood actor, said in a statement. 

Hunter's withdrawal was announced January 19, 2008.  Hunter had a strong stance on the major economic issues surrounding trade, but did not catch on.
