The New York Times comprehensive series on China's growth and the environment continues today, "Choking on Growth: Part VII". It's really a pretty good series. The reporters put in a lot of work.
That country's growth should be about 1/3 of its current rate,
which would be both respectable and manageable. The government
issued steroids of currency manipulation and massive public money being
plowed into subsidies and re-nationalization of the economy triple the
growth.
