This blog has many readers and lurkers, but few commenters.  I actually get more comments emailed to me than posted here. 

I wrote that the sovereign wealth fund issue is getting more attention now.  Rightfully so... it is negligent to treat foreign government owned investments in the U.S. the same as purely private foreign investment.  

Here is a comment emailed to me pointing out the hypocricy.  

Have the U.S. government own and run U.S. enterprises? (e.g., utilities, U.S. ports, military logistics)  No way.

Have foreign governments own and run U.S. enterprises? No problem.

Examples of their hypocrisy and inconsistency are legion.
