Peter Morici teaches business at the University of Maryland. I
cut and paste his writings here sometimes. He just won the Marketwatch Economic Forecaster derby for... forecasting economic trends more accurately than his peers.
Here is one of his assessments:
The overvalued dollar and the trade gap are distorting the U.S.
economy, he said. "We are borrowing money from the Chinese to buy
imports and re-employ people in restaurants," Morici said.
Yikes. He must be a protectionist... or something. A
China basher. The Very. Serious. People. in Washington are
suffering chills and shakes from the cognitive dissonance (facts
conflicting with their ideology).
