Net trade - apple concentrate PDF Print E-mail

International trade in apples, and indeed many fruits, takes the form of concentrates.  Apple concentrate, prune juice concentrate, etc.  The reason is that concentrate does not have all the water that the full fruit item has, and it is not as perishable.

In case you were wondering, our net trade in apple concentrate is horrendously negative.

Look on the bottles
written by C Schroeder , January 15, 2010
I always look on the bottles of juice we buy to ensure the concentrate says "US" on it. You buy Tree Top juice so have not had any issues with finding the US stamp. I have seen where soem bottles will say "US and China". So be on the look out for other country of origin on your bottles. Unless you are comfortable with your kids drinking concentrate from China do your research in the market.
