The Illinois House of Representatives passed a resolution (HR 55), by an overwhelming margin, criticizing current free trade policies and asking their federal delegation to fix the problem.  The vote was 116 to 1 (the "nay" was some guy named Harry Osterman. a Democrat).

CPA members and the Tooling & Manufacturing Association pushed this resolution.

This is a great win.  Trade policy reform will come from the ground up, not from Washington.  Citizen action and opinion is what got us this far, and what will get us the rest of the way.  This is a template for more action in other states.
