DETAILS:       Sen. Michael Michaud as H.R. 6180) requires a review of existing trade pacts, including the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and the World Trade Organization (WTO).  It strengthens Congressional oversight, establishes negotiating objectives for the future, and deals with often neglected concerns such as product safety. Sen. Brown’s legislative assistant, Chris Slevin, will discuss the fair trade agenda for 2009 in the new Congress in the light of the results of this year’s election results.
