Look. Nobody is being endorsed here. But if a campaign sends me press releases that are right (or probably even wrong) on trade, I'll probably print them.
So here is Jack Davis again.
"Free trade and unchecked globalization are destroying the American middle
class".
Oh. Here are the basic election facts from New York's 26th District.
1. Bush beat Kerry in '04 by 12%
2. Reynolds beat Davis in '06 by 4%
3. Voter registration: 40% GOP, 32% Dem, 28% other
4. Dem candidates: Jack Davis and Jonathan Powers. Republican: Chris Lee

Jack Davis: ³Free Trade is NOT Free.²
³Free trade and unchecked globalization are destroying the American middle
class²
Albion, NY: Pledging leadership in Washington free from the influence of
Special Interests, industrialist Jack Davis (D) reiterated his challenge to
his opponents to stand up to lobbyists who are destroying working men and
women with their predatory trade policies.
³We have to be honest about the impact of free trade on our economy and our
workers. Since China joined the World Trade Organization (WTO) in 2001, the
United States has lost more than 2.5 million manufacturing jobs too many
of them here in Western New York.²
³We don¹t need more of the same policies that have given us the worst
economy since the Great Depression. In our region, too many working men and women have had to explain to their families that they lost their job because
it was cheaper to do the work in China or Mexico. Young people have to
leave their families behind to seek jobs elsewhere; and all of us are paying
more at the gas pump and in grocery stores.²
³And where is the American worker in all of this? Paying the bill and
getting a pink slip. Why? Because they can¹t afford the army of lobbyists
in Washington, or the slick industry lawyers who all but write the
legislation and influence policy with campaign contributions.²
³That¹s why I am running for Congress. Special interest money doesn¹t
impress me, I won¹t take a dime. I am the only candidate to have joined
Barack Obama in rejecting lobbyist and PAC money for my campaign. But it is
not too late for the others to get on board.²
