Dave Frengel to speak at USTR hearing on Mexico joining TPP

Dave Frengel is on the CPA Board of Directors, chairs our Pennsylvania Chapter, and is Government Relations Director at Penn United Technologies.  He will speak before a U.S. Trade Representative hearing on Mexico joining the Trans-Pacific Partnership negotiations this Friday, September 21, 2012.

Dave’s testimony will assert that trade negotiators need to focus on strategy to balance U.S. trade flows and that we need to deal with the tariff/subsidy impact of Mexico’s 15% value added tax.  Dave will also argue that the U.S. strategy should include the 21st Century Trade Agreement Principles that CPA and other organizations and businesses have proposed.

A copy of Dave’s testimony is here.
