Dear Friends:
Join us for advocacy and camaraderie!
CPA is holding its annual legislative fly-in from March 8 to March 10, 2011. Last year we visited 80 Congressional offices with a trade reform message. CPA members and friends will meet with the legislators or staff of their congressional district or state. We will assign teams as appropriate. These two and one-half days are a very efficient and productive use of your time. You will concentrate your advocacy in a very effective manner within a short, productive time period. We made great progress in 2010, and will make more progress to save America’s economy this year.
Please sign up for this event. The earlier you sign up, the better we can arrange Senate and House meetings for you and your team.
Schedule:
- Tuesday, March 8, 2011, 2p to 6p – Group meeting for training, talking points and team assignments. CPA to distribute background material and hand-outs.
- Wednesday/Thursday, March 9-10, 2011, all day – Meetings with Representatives and Senators and/or their staff.
Hotel: Capitol Skyline Hotel, 10 I (“Eye”) Street SW, Washington, DC 20024
Call 202.488.7500 for hotel room reservations and ask for the CPA room block. You should book for the evenings of March 8 and March 9. CPA has negotiated discounted rates for a limited number of double-bed rooms at $159 per night. (This is a very good rate, because most hotels in DC are over $200 per night). You can book the evenings of March 7 and/or 10 for the same rate if you want to arrive earlier (Monday) or depart later (Friday)
